Ecommerce Application

This application is a complete Ecommerce suite that was created utilizing ASP.NET MVC, a SQL database and bootstrap5 to create a clean user interface. I wanted to create an application that would allow an online business owner to be able to completly manage their business from within the application. This includes complete CRUD operations on all products from within the system, a analytical dashboard to gain complete insight into the overall operations of the Ecommerce store, a role-based authentification system to allow for users to create accounts and UI components that can be utilized to highlight specific products from within the application.

Learning Points from Creating the Application

Utlizing the full software development lifecycle along with following a standard application development protocol and iterative work flow, helped me in creating this application; mostly due to it's size (although not a very large application it, it still kept me organized).

Through creating this application I gained a better understanding of the .NET framework as a whole and found several useful methods (tools, etc.) for creating applications at this scale at a quicker and more professional pace.

Implementing opensource software and packages limits your abilities to customize and have complete control over your application.

Designing an application with the users use case in mind will always lead you to a better looking product that the user can enjoy.
